 Domestic violence (also called intimate partner violence (IPV), domestic abuse or relationship abuse) is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship.

It’s important for partners to know each other’s concerns, limits, desires and feelings, and to be prepared to respect them.  People and relationships evolve, and everyone has the right to change or adjust their boundaries as they see fit.
